John A. Tweddle Residence

MacKay Residence (1910)
1603 12 AV SW, Sunalta

As one of a pair of identical one and one-half-storey Edwardian Gable-front style homes with prominent front gables and shed-roofed dormers, the Mackay Residence is a distinctive example of that style in the community. (Style Value, City-wide Significance)

As a modest mid-scale home constructed in the Sunalta subdivision shortly after it was established, the 1910 Mackay Residence is symbolic of the early 20th century neighbourhood developed by the CPR for middle class residents. (Symbolic Value, Community Significance)
