On December 11, 2020 the Heritage Calgary board approved the following site to be updated to the Inventory of Evaluated Historic Resources.

John A. Tweddle Residence

St Andrew’s Italian Parish Church - 1403 8 AV SE (Inglewood) Year Built: 1911

Evaluated as a City Wide Historic Resource

St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church has institutional value through the succession of religious congregations that it has housed, including iterations as the first Italian Catholic and Vietnamese Catholic congregations in the city. (Institution Value, City-Wide Significance)

St. Andrew’s has style value as a good example of a Gothic Revival church. The brick tower with its tall open spire is unique in the city. (Style Value, Community Significance)

The building, and particularly the prominent wooden spire surmounting its tower, is situated on a residential street corner that is highly visible from Inglewood’s 9 AV SE shopping district a block away. It is one of three historic churches that stand within sight of each other from its corner. (Landmark Value, Community Significance)
