On June 25, 2021 the Heritage Calgary board approved the following site to be updated to the Inventory of Evaluated Historic Resources.

Sanderson Residence – 1302 Gladstone Road NW (Hillhurst) – Year Built: 1912

Evaluated as a Community Historic Resource

The Sanderson Residence, built in 1912, has significant value as symbolic of the rapid development of the Hillhurst subdivision in the 1910s; one of Calgary’s earliest and fastest growing communities (Symbolic Value – Community Wide Significance).

The Sanderson Residence is additionally valued as a uniquely detailed and well-crafted example of a modest Arts and Crafts Bungalow (Style Value – Community Wide Significance).
