Heritage Resources & Research Coordinator

Heritage Calgary is seeking a full-time Heritage Resources & Research Coordinator.

Heritage Calgary (formerly the Calgary Heritage Authority) is a charitable Civic Partner of the City of Calgary established in 2000. Heritage Calgary evaluates potential heritage sites for inclusion on the Inventory of Evaluated Historic Resources. Heritage Calgary works to ensure that the Calgary heritage sector is well organized, collaborative and efficient in its efforts to promote the understanding of and broaden citizen participation in Calgary’s heritage.

The Heritage Resources & Research Coordinator will share primary responsibility for the maintenance, curation and integrity of the Inventory of Evaluated Historic Resources (the Inventory), in association with City heritage planning staff and the Heritage Calgary Evaluation and Review Committee. In addition, they will lead the design and implementation of research initiatives including sector intelligence gathering; research on perceptions, values, and awareness regarding heritage; and socio-economic research.
