Re-evaluated as a Community Historic Resource

St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church has institution significance through its association with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Calgary and the local parishes that have been affiliated with this church, St. Anne’s Parish (1907 – 2000) and St. Anne’s Korean Parish (2002 – Present). (Institution Value—Community Significance)

The church has person significance through its architect, Maxwell Bates, a Calgary architect who was also a poet and was best known as a significant twentieth century Canadian expressionist artist. (Person/People Value—City Wide Significance)
